All of our rooms offer free WiFi, flat screen TV with Freeview, and tea and coffee making facilities.

Discount in the restaurant: 

Guests booking through our website get a 20% discount in the restaurant off their total bill during breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea sittings. 

Check-in 3pm / Check-out 11am:
If you arrive early, you are more than welcome to leave your luggage with us until the room is ready for you at 3pm. This is free of charge.


Access to the rooms:
3 of the guest rooms (Vintage Room, 4 Poster Room and Gloucester Suite) are located above the restaurant in the main building. This building is over 300 years old so to access the rooms there is a steep staircase (13 steps). As we have such an old building with a rich history, a lift is not available here. If you would prefer a room mostly step-free, please book into the Annex Suite which is located on the ground floor. (NOTE: there is 1 step as you enter the room)

If checking-in between 3pm and 6pm we would be more than happy to help with bringing up your luggage so please speak to the staff in the restaurant who will be able to assist. 


Early Check-ins and Later Check-outs:

Subject to availability and charged at £20. We are available until 6pm for check-ins. After 6pm, keys* may be collected from the secure lockbox adjacent to the entrance (code and instruction will be given prior to arrival).

Locally the parking is for residents only Monday to Friday from 10am till noon. All other times the parking in the area is free however, it is a subject to availability.

We do have a limited amount of parking vouchers available so please contact us before hand if you wish to purchase these. The vouchers cost £10/day. 

The Annex Suite has a small free of charge driveway so if you have booked this room and wish to park there, please contact us so we can make sure that the driveway is clear for you. 

Daily Servicing:
Our staff will attend once a day to check & replenish beverages. Fresh milk is provided daily for tea and coffee making as well as a selection of our teas and coffee. Staff will ‘spruce’ clean & tidy, make bed(s) and empty the bins once a day. Stays of 5 nights or longer will usually have full bedlinen changes on Day 5 and every 5 days thereafter according to our Green Policy. 

A travel cot can be requested for your stay and this will be charged at £5 per night. Please contact our staff prior to your visit to arrange this.  

You are more than welcome to bring along pets during your stay, however this we be charged at extra £5 per night as it required a deep clean on the rooms, bedding and towels. 

*Keys lost or not returned are charged at £30 per key.


Cancellations & Refunds:
Reservations may be cancelled up to 7 days prior to the first day of the booking to receive a full refund. From 7 days to 2 days there is a 50% refund. Where a booking is made within 48 hours of the start of the stay and subsequently cancelled, no refund is available.


Green Policy:
We strive to be as environmentally-friendly and aware as possible and keep waste and unnecessary chemicals to a minimum. Any comments or suggestions from customers as to how we can improve are always welcomed, with thanks!
